Terminator HUD: Coming soon?

The guys over at the Fraunhofer Institute for Photonic Microsystems IPMS (say that three times fast) have come up with some pretty cool glasses that display data on the lens. Not only do they display data directly on the lens, but the wearer can interact back via eye tracking. Chris Joblonski over at ZDNet has a good write up:

Reminds us of the HUD display in Terminator. There’s no word yet on when these will be available on the market, and currently they’re being developed primarily for military use. Still, it’s a great concept and may one day make its way to consumers.
