1. General

How do I check on the status of my order?
To check the status of your order, log in to your account by clicking Login in the top right corner and entering you account information. Once you log in, your recent orders will be displayed, including their status. You can view information about individual orders by clicking "View Order".
What if I don't like my glasses?
No problem! We offer a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. You can return your glasses for any reason within 30 days of receiving them. Please see our Shipping and Returns page for more information.
How can you sell glasses so cheaply?
We only sell online, and so we do not have the overhead that goes with a traditional brick-and-mortar store. Instead of having only one location serving a small neighborhood (or having many locations spread across the country in expensive malls), we have a single office that can serve the entire country. This allows us to sell glasses at much lower prices than traditional retail stores.
Do you accept insurance?
We are an "out of network" provider under most insurance plans. We cannot process your claim directly with your insurance company for you, but purchases from our website qualify as "out of network" purchases for which you can be reimbursed, under most plans.

2. Your Prescription

How do I read my prescription?
We've written a helpful Guide to Reading Your Prescription. If you still have trouble, please call us and we'll be glad to help you.
Can I use my contact lens prescription?
No. Contact lens prescriptions are different than glasses prescriptions. Generally, contact lens prescriptions are not as strong as glasses prescriptions, because the lenses sit right next to the eye. Glasses, on the other hand, sit some distance away from the eye and so need to be stronger.
How do I get my prescription?
You can ask your optometrist to provide your prescription to you when you get your eye exam. Under federal law, they are required to provide it. You should also ask them for your PD measurement, which is not normally included in with your prescription. They may charge you a small fee to provide this measurement (see our helpful article What is a PD, Anyway?). If you have received an eye exam in the last two years, you can call your optometrist to provide it to you over the phone. If your prescription is over two years old, it's time for a new eye exam.
Can I order just frames with no prescription lenses in them?
Sure. When entering your prescription, just select "Plano" for the OD SPH and OS SPH ("plano" is optical-speak for lenses without a prescription). You can select any PD; PD is not important because the lenses will not have a prescription in them.

3. Lenses

What types of lenses do you sell?
We sell CR-39, polycarbonate, and 1.67 high index. We also sell FT-28 bifocals as well as both Younger Image and Essilor Natural brand progressive lenses. We also sell polarized sunglasses lenses too.
What types of lenses don't you sell?
We currently don't sell glass or 1.7+ index lenses. We also do not sell any other brand of progressive lenses besides Younger Image and Essilor Natural.
Do you sell bifocals?
Yes, we do.
Do you sell progressive lenses?
Yes, we do.
Do you sell coatings and tints?
Yes. All of our lenses come with anti-scratch and UV protection coatings free of charge. We also sell premium anti-reflective coating as well as tints.
Do you sell lenses that turn dark when outside and turn clear when indoors?
Yes, we do. These are called "photochromic" lenses. You can select these lenses under Step 5: Select Tint when ordering your glasses. Note: there are a very few types of prescriptions that we cannot provide photochromic lenses for. If this is the case, we will call or email you to let you know.
Can you put new lenses in my existing frame?
No, at this time we do not offer this service.

4. Delivery

How long will it take to receive my glasses?
Generally, it takes 7-10 business days door-to-door, although sometimes it's faster. Lenses with anti-reflective coating on average take two days longer than lenses without. You will receive an email when the glasses go into production. You will also receive an email as soon as your glasses are shipped, and you will get them 3-5 days after.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is a flat rate $6.95 anywhere in the United States, and a flat rate $12.95 anywhere in Canada. This is our cost – we don't charge any extra shipping or handling fees.
What shipping method do you use?
We ship using USPS Priority Mail. We've found this to be the cheapest and fastest way to get your glasses to you.
Do you ship internationally / outside the United States?
We currently ship to the United States and Canada.
What if my glasses need adjustment after I receive them?
We suggest you visit your local optician or optometrist. They may charge you a small fee to provide an adjustment.

5. Returns

I want to return my glasses. How do I do this?

How long do I have to return my glasses?
You have 30 days to return your glasses from the date you receive them, no questions asked.
How long will it take for my refund to be processed?
Refunds are generally processed within 3 business days from when we receive your glasses back.

6. Payment

What types of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. We do not accept check or cash at this time.
Is your website secure?
Yes, our website is very secure. We use 128-bit encryption when processing your order. We have partnered with the most-trusted and largest payment gateway provider, Authorize.net.
